If Any of This Sounds Familiar, You're Not Alone

Six moments every Dutchess County restaurant owner knows too well

See how weekly bookkeeping fixes it
  • The Tax Season Scramble

It's March, and you still haven't sent your CPA anything. Your books are eight months behind, and you're hoping the extension doesn't turn into a penalty.

  • The POS-to-Bank Mystery

Your POS says $12,000 in sales. Your bank says $9,400. You know something's wrong but don't have time to trace it, so you move on.

  • The Delivery App Black Hole

DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Grubhub deposit money every week. You have no idea if you're actually making money on those orders.

  • The Prime Cost Blind Spot

You don't know your food cost percentage, your labor cost percentage, or whether either is where it should be.

  • The 60-Hour Week Trap

60 hours in the restaurant, another 10 on the books. You didn't open a restaurant to spend Sundays categorizing receipts.

  • The CPA Frustration

Your CPA keeps asking for documents you don't have. You feel like you're failing at something you were never trained to do.

Restaurant Bookkeeping That Actually Tells You Something

Six pieces of your financial back office, handled every week

  • Weekly POS-to-Bank Reconciliation

Every week, your Toast, Square, or Clover sales matched against your bank deposits. No unexplained gaps.

  • Delivery App Fee & Tip Tracking

Every DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Grubhub payout reconciled. See gross sales, commissions, fees, and tips separately.

A Local Partner Who Understands Restaurant Math

I'm not a faceless national service. I'm based right here in Dutchess County, and I work exclusively with food and beverage businesses.

I know the difference between a comp and a void. I know why your Friday deposit doesn't match your Friday sales. I know that a 2% swing in food cost is the difference between profit and closing.

My job is simple: keep your books clean, your margins visible, and your CPA happy. You focus on the kitchen. I'll handle the numbers.

Built on Service. Run with Discipline.

I'm a certified service-disabled Veteran, and I run this practice with the same values I learned in uniform: accountability, precision, and follow-through. When I say your books will be reconciled every week, they will be. When I say I'll respond within 24 hours, I will. You served your customers. I served my country. Now I'm here to serve Dutchess County restaurants.

Restaurant Bookkeeping FAQs

Questions restaurant owners ask before they get started

Do I need to switch my POS or accounting software?

No. I work with Toast, Square, Clover, and QuickBooks Online. If you already have them, great — if not, I'll help you set them up as part of onboarding.

How do you handle DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Grubhub reconciliation?

This is one of my core specialties. I reconcile every payout against your POS sales, so you see gross sales, commissions, fees, and tips separately.

How do I send you my receipts?

Snap a photo and text it, forward it to a dedicated email, or upload it to a secure portal. No spreadsheets, no shoeboxes, no chasing.

Do you handle tip reporting and payroll?

I track tips as a liability, not revenue, and coordinate with your payroll provider for compliant reporting. Payroll processing is available as an add-on.

Will you file my taxes?

No — I prepare your books so your CPA can file your returns. I work alongside your tax preparer, or can refer you to a trusted local one.

How long does it take to get started?

Most clients are fully onboarded within two weeks — one week for access setup, one week for the first reconciliation.

What if my books are already a mess?

That's common. I offer a catch-up service priced as a one-time project based on how far behind you are — most restaurants are caught up within 30–60 days.

How do you keep my financial data secure?

Bank-level encryption, secure client portals, and read-only access to your accounts. Your data is never shared or sold.

What happens if we decide to part ways?

You own your data and your QuickBooks subscription. If you leave, I provide a clean handoff to your new bookkeeper or CPA.

What do you need from me each month?

Very little — account access, a way to reach you, and about 15 minutes to review your monthly report.
